#TGIF has long been a workplace tradition, a time to gather, celebrate the week and recharge. At Thornehope, we’ve added a new dimension by using TGIF at all our offices to connect with and give back to the communities where we live and work.
On Friday, August 22, THP CEO Arthur Zhang and his two young sons, volunteered at Sure We Can in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn. This nonprofit recycling center and sustainability hub brings together canners — New Yorkers who collect bottles and cans to earn a living — with the broader community through recycling, composting, gardening and the arts.
“For me and my boys, it was about community and connection, education and awareness,” says Arthur. “As Thornehope takes root in Brooklyn, we aim to live the THP spirit by acting locally to achieve global results. For us, it’s about staying positive and always pursuing the #betterwayforward.”
